AROUND 2,500 people attended the reopening of the Malacañang ti Amianan on January 1, 2011. The former residence of the late Pres. Ferdinand E. Marcos has been under the management of the DOT until November 23, 2010 when it was officially turned over to the PGIN. Since then, a massive renovation work took place in time for the grand reopening. A free concert along the Paoay Lake was also held. In her speech during the house blessing, Governor Imee Marcos invited everyone to hold events and receptions in the newly restored mansion.
